Vandergrift Presbyterian Church, Vandergrift
You immediately sense vitality in the Vandergrift Presbyterian Church. Almost every day there are cars pulling up, people going in and out of the church. Located at the corner of Columbia and Washington Avenue in downtown Vandergrift, the church is committed and very active in mission and ministry and seeks to share the Good News of the Gospel with the community. The Vandergrift Presbyterian Church is an outgrowth of two local Presbyterian congregations merging over a decade ago. Although the name is new, the two merged congregations of First Presbyterian Church and Trinity United Presbyterian Church both date back to the late 1890’s. In fact, while Trinity United Presbyterian was building their church at that time, they met for Sunday services at the church they now occupy. The newly combined church called the Reverend Frank Neal Galley to be their pastor.
